On Sunday, 15 December 2013, in the evening at 19:46, in Vilnius, on Liepkalnio street near No. 320, a head-on collision occurred. The accident was caused by the 26-year-old driver of the Volkswagen, who committed other traffic rule violations. He was drunk (1.84‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
