On Monday, 16 December 2013, in the afternoon at 13:52, in Vilnius, on Linkmenų street, at the junction with Utenos street, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved an Audi 100 Avant and a Seat Altea. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 44-year-old driver of the Audi (11 years of driving experience), who entered the oncoming traffic lane. He was drunk and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was wet.
