On Tuesday, 31 December 2013, in the afternoon at 16:20, in Šopeno Sodu, on Šopeno street, at the junction with Sodu street, at a pedestrian crossing, a collision with one vehicle turning left and the other right occurred. The collision involved a Renault Espace and a Skoda 14 TR 02. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 54-year-old driver of the Renault (31 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was twilight, it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 40 km/h.
