On Friday, 17 January 2014, in the morning at 8:33, in Klaipėda, on S. Daukanto street, at the junction with I. Kanto street, a side collision with neither vehicle turning occurred. The collision involved a Volkswagen Golf and an Opel Vectra. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 19-year-old driver of the Volkswagen, who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. Both drivers were sober.
