On Sunday, 19 January 2014, in the afternoon at around 12:00, in Šilalės district municipality, Pajūralio village, on the Kvėdarna–Švėkšna–Saugos national road, a side collision with neither vehicle turning occurred. The collision involved an Audi 100 and an Audi 100. Five people were injured — the 26-year-old driver of the Audi 100 (hospitalized), a 0-year-old passenger of the Audi 100 (hospitalized), a 8-year-old passenger of the Audi 100 (hospitalized), the 27-year-old driver of the Audi 100 (treated as an outpatient) and a 53-year-old passenger of the Audi 100 (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 26-year-old driver of the Audi 100 (5 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. Both drivers were sober.
