On Monday, 20 January 2014, in the morning at 7:50, in Panevėžys, on Katedros street near No. 4, a Volkswagen Golf hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. One person was injured — a 9-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by a 9-year-old pedestrian, who committed sudden emergence from behind a vehicle, tree, etc.. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was twilight, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
