On Sunday, 12 January 2014, in the evening at 21:44, in Šalčininkų district municipality, Dieveniškių town, on Šermukšnių street near No. 3, a Renault Megane hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 20-year-old driver of the Renault (1 year of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
