Drunk Volkswagen driver hits an obstacle on the Vilnius-Švenčionys-Zarasai road
On Saturday, 25 January 2014, in the evening at 17:30, in Ignalinos district municipality, on Vilniaus street near No. 31, a Volkswagen Sharan hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 64-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (34 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk and fled the scene. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
