On Wednesday, 29 January 2014, at night at around 1:00, in Kauno district municipality, on the Kaunas–Jurbarkas–Šilutė–Klaipėda national road (kilometre 28), a BMW 524 hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 25-year-old driver of the BMW (7 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober.
