On Thursday, 30 January 2014, in the afternoon at 14:45, in Ukmergės district municipality, on Vytauto street, at the junction with Utenos street, a Ford Fiesta hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. One person was injured — a 42-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 34-year-old driver of the Ford (16 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. He fled the scene. The driver was sober.
