On Saturday, 1 February 2014, in the afternoon at 16:45, in Lazdijų district municipality, Mikabalių village, on the Seirijai–Gudeliai regional road (kilometre 7.75), a head-on collision occurred. The collision involved a Volvo S60 and an Audi A6 Avant. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 28-year-old driver of the Volvo (3 years of driving experience), who entered the oncoming traffic lane. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober.
