On Sunday, 9 February 2014, in the morning at 7:47, in Palangos city municipality, on the Palanga–Lazdininkai regional road (kilometre 2.77), a Dacia rolled over. One person was injured — the 29-year-old driver of the Dacia (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 29-year-old driver of the Dacia (8 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.10‰ blood alcohol) and fled the scene. At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
