On Tuesday, 11 February 2014, in the afternoon at 15:03, in Kaišiadorių district municipality, on the Antakalnis–Jieznas–Alytus–Merkinė national road (kilometre 0.13), a Mazda 626 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 54-year-old driver of the Mazda (35 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.98‰ blood alcohol) and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
