On Saturday, 15 February 2014, in the morning at 10:57, in Kėdainių district municipality, on J.Basanavičiaus street, a collision while turning right occurred. The collision involved a Peugeot 406 and a Renault Megane Scenic. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 22-year-old driver of the Peugeot (less than a year of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations, failed to keep a safe distance, failed to choose a safe speed and entered the oncoming traffic lane. He was drunk (1.27‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
