On Tuesday, 25 February 2014, in the morning at 7:35, in Vilniaus district municipality, Raudondvario village, on the Vilnius–Utena main road (kilometre 17), a head-on collision occurred. The collision involved a Volkswagen Polo and a Nissan Juke. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 29-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (2 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection, failed to choose a safe speed and entered the oncoming traffic lane. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
