On Friday, 28 February 2014, in the afternoon at around 14:00, in Pagėgių municipality, on the Ryga–Šiauliai–Tauragė–Kaliningradas main road (kilometre 185.19), on a bridge, a traffic accident occurred. The accident involved a MAN TGA 18.480 4X2 BLS registered in Russia. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 52-year-old driver of the MAN (a citizen of Russia) (10 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. He fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). The MAN had recorded faults (kito konstrukcijos elemento). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
