On Saturday, 1 March 2014, in the morning at around 5:00, in Klaipėda, on Sausio 15-osios street near No. 10, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a BMW 530 D and a Volkswagen Passat. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 23-year-old driver of the BMW (5 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (0.95‰ blood alcohol) and fled the scene.
