On Wednesday, 12 March 2014, in the morning at around 8:00, in Tauragės district municipality, on Vytauto street near No. 103, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved an Opel Corsa and a Ford Galaxy. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 19-year-old driver of the Opel (1 year of driving experience), who failed to comply with road signs or markings, violated overtaking rules, failed to keep a safe distance and failed to choose a safe speed. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
