On Friday, 14 March 2014, in the evening at 17:56, in Vilnius, on Stepono Batoro street, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a BMW 316 and an Audi A6 Avant. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 24-year-old driver of the BMW (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance and failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 60 km/h.
