Drunk Opel driver hits a parked Peugeot and flees on Antakalnio g., Ukmergė
On Monday, 17 March 2014, in the evening at 21:45, in Ukmergės district municipality, on Antakalnio street near No. 67, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved an Opel Signum and a Peugeot 605. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 32-year-old driver of the Opel, who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (2.72‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was overcast, a strong wind was blowing, the road surface was icy. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
