On Tuesday, 18 March 2014, in the evening at around 20:00, in Plungės district municipality, Kumžaičių village, on Kumžaičių street, a Ford Fiesta hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 41-year-old driver of the Ford, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.38‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
