On Tuesday, 25 March 2014, in the evening at 18:16, in Vilnius, on Kauno street near No. 8, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Volkswagen Polo and a Skoda Octavia. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 27-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (1.31‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
