On Saturday, 29 March 2014, in the morning at 5:15, in Mažeikių district municipality, on the Mažeikiai–Skuodas national road, a Toyota Previa ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 32-year-old driver of the Toyota (12 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.60‰ blood alcohol). At the time of the accident it was dark, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
