On Monday, 31 March 2014, in the morning at 6:55, in Anykščių district municipality, on the Kaunas–Zarasai–Daugpilis main road (kilometre 92.80), an Audi 80 registered in Latvia rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 27-year-old driver of the Audi (a citizen of Latvia) (10 years of driving experience), who was driving fatigued and failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
