On Friday, 4 April 2014, in the morning at around 8:00, in Marijampolės municipality, on Kauno street, at the junction with P. Cvirkos street, a vehicle hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. One person was injured — a 16-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by an unidentified person, who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. He fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
