On Friday, 4 April 2014, in the evening at 22:23, in Biržų district municipality, on the Kupiškis–Vabalninkas–Biržai national road (kilometre 20.10), a Peugeot 406 rolled over. Two people were injured — the 18-year-old driver of the Peugeot (hospitalized) and a 18-year-old passenger of the Peugeot (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 18-year-old driver of the Peugeot, who failed to choose a safe speed. She had no driving licence and fled the scene. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
