On Saturday, 15 March 2014, in the evening at around 21:00, in Biržų district municipality, on the Kupiškis–Vabalninkas–Biržai national road (kilometre 50), a Ford Focus ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 21-year-old driver of the Ford (3 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. She was drunk (1.78‰ blood alcohol).
