On Sunday, 13 April 2014, in the evening at around 21:00, in Šakių district municipality, Jotyškių village, on the Kiduliai–Gelgaudiškis–Gerdžiūnai regional road (kilometre 30.73), a Mercedes-Benz E300 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 28-year-old driver of the Mercedes-Benz (6 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
