On Monday, 21 April 2014, in the afternoon at around 12:00, in Kėdainių district municipality, on the Kėdainiai–Šėta–Ukmergė national road (kilometre 5), a collision while turning left (U-turning) occurred. The collision involved an Audi A4 and an Audi 80 Avant. Two people were injured — a 54-year-old passenger of the Audi 80 Avant (hospitalized) and a 28-year-old passenger of the Audi A4 (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 28-year-old driver of the Audi A4 (5 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
