On Monday, 28 April 2014, in the evening at 19:53, in Klaipėda, on Vingio street near No. 47, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Volkswagen Passat and a Toyota Avensis. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 34-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (14 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. She was drunk (2.43‰ blood alcohol) and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry.
