On Saturday, 3 May 2014, in the afternoon at 13:50, in Plungės district municipality, on the Plungė–Vėžaičiai national road (kilometre 10.90), a side collision with neither vehicle turning occurred. Two people were injured — the 24-year-old driver of the Renault (treated as an outpatient) and a 26-year-old passenger of the Renault (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 21-year-old driver of the Mazda, who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. He was drunk (0.74‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene.
