On Saturday, 3 May 2014, in the evening at 22:25, in Vilnius, on Geležinio Vilko street, at the junction with Gerosios Vilties street, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Volvo V40 and a Mazda 6. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 30-year-old driver of the Volvo (11 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. He was drunk (2.51‰ blood alcohol). According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
