Drunk Ford driver hits a pedestrian at a crossing at Perkūnkiemio g. and Ukmergės g., Vilnius
On Friday, 24 January 2014, in the evening at 18:10, in Vilnius, on Perkūnkiemio street, at the junction with Ukmergės street, a Ford Mondeo hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. One person was injured — a 20-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 50-year-old driver of the Ford (16 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. He was drunk (2.12‰ blood alcohol). At the time of the accident it was twilight, it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
