On Sunday, 11 May 2014, in the afternoon at around 11:00, in Kaunas, on M. Jankaus street, at the junction with S. Moniuškos street, a side collision with neither vehicle turning occurred. The collision involved an Opel Zafira, an Audi A6 Avant and a Toyota Prius. One person was injured — a 7-year-old passenger of the Opel (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 61-year-old driver of the Opel (28 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. All drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
