On Wednesday, 14 May 2014, at night at 23:19, in Vilniaus district municipality, on the Naujoji Vilnia–Rudamina–Paneriai national road (kilometre 5.40), a BMW 530 rolled over. Two people were injured — a 27-year-old passenger of the BMW (hospitalized) and a 35-year-old passenger of the BMW (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 22-year-old driver of the BMW (3 years of driving experience), who violated overtaking rules. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
