On Saturday, 17 May 2014, at night at around 23:00, in Kaunas, on T. Masiulio street, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Volkswagen Golf and a BMW 320D. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 21-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (1 year of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations and failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (0.29‰ blood alcohol). According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
