On Tuesday, 20 May 2014, in the afternoon at 13:17, in Jonavos district municipality, on Plento street, at the junction with Taurosto street, a collision with one vehicle turning left and the other right occurred. The collision involved an Audi A6 Avant and a Volkswagen Sharan. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 25-year-old driver of the Audi (6 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations and failed to give way when crossing an intersection. She fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 30 km/h.
