On Wednesday, 21 May 2014, in the evening at 18:30, in Kaunas, on Kumelių street near No. 8, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Ford Mondeo and a Toyota Yaris. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 18-year-old driver of the Ford (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
