On Thursday, 15 May 2014, in the evening at around 21:00, in Panevėžys, on Vilties street near No. 18, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Renault Megane Scenic and a Mitsubishi Galant. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 81-year-old driver of the Renault (47 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober.
