On Monday, 26 May 2014, at night at 4:30, in Prienų district municipality, on the Vilnius–Prienai–Marijampolė main road (kilometre 65.50), a Volvo FH12 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 30-year-old driver of the Volvo (a citizen of Poland) (6 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was twilight, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
