On Tuesday, 27 May 2014, in the afternoon at 11:06, in Vilnius, on Ukmergės street, at the junction with Geležinio Vilko street, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Volvo FH12, an Audi A6, a Volkswagen Transporter, a Koegel SN 24, an Opel Vivaro and a Toyota Corolla. Two people were injured — the 38-year-old driver of the Volvo (a citizen of Belarus) (hospitalized) and a 45-year-old passenger of the Toyota (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 38-year-old driver of the Volvo (a citizen of Belarus) (10 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. All drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry.
