On Friday, 6 June 2014, in the afternoon at 14:12, in Palanga, on Ronžės street near No. 5A, at a yard or parking-lot exit, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Mercedes-Benz E230 and a Seat Leon. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 21-year-old driver of the Mercedes-Benz, who failed to keep a safe distance. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
