On Saturday, 14 June 2014, at night at around 0:00, in Šilutės district municipality, on Vydūno street near No. 10, a Mazda 626 hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 19-year-old driver of the Mazda (1 year of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance and failed to choose a safe speed. He fled the scene.
