On Saturday, 14 June 2014, in the afternoon at around 14:00, in Kauno district municipality, on the Kaunas–Marijampolė–Suvalkai (kelio ruožo su skir. juosta k. pusė) main road (kilometre 17), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Mercedes-Benz 1841, a BMW 320D and a Rolfo B1EAAJ. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 42-year-old driver of the Mercedes-Benz (23 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
