On Tuesday, 24 June 2014, in the afternoon at 12:18, in Alytaus district municipality, on the Alytus–Seirijai–Lazdijai national road (kilometre 12), a side collision with neither vehicle turning occurred. The accident was caused by the 37-year-old driver of the Mazda CX-7 (19 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. Both drivers were sober.
