On Saturday, 28 June 2014, in the morning at 5:19, in Vilnius, on M. K. Čiurlionio street, at the junction with Z. Sierakausko street, a BMW 520 hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. One person was injured — a 23-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 19-year-old driver of the BMW (1 year of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties and failed to choose a safe speed. Both drivers were sober.
