On Thursday, 3 July 2014, at night at around 4:00, in Kaišiadorių district municipality, on the Žiežmariai–Nemaitonys–Stakliškės regional road (kilometre 3.10), a Volvo V70 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 27-year-old driver of the Volvo, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.46‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
