On Tuesday, 8 July 2014, in the evening at 19:01, in Mažeikių district municipality, on Skuodo street near No. 14, a DAF FT XF95.480 hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 43-year-old driver of the DAF (13 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry.
