On Wednesday, 9 July 2014, in the morning at around 5:00, in Kėdainių district municipality, on the Panevėžys–Aristava–Sitkūnai main road (kilometre 45), a Volkswagen LT 35 registered in Latvia hit an animal. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 21-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (a citizen of Latvia) (3 years of driving experience), who failed to comply with road signs or markings and failed to choose a safe speed.
