On Tuesday, 15 July 2014, in the evening at 19:35, in Vilnius, on Konstitucijos pr., at the junction with Ukmergės street, a BMW 528 hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. One person died — a 26-year-old pedestrian (later died from the injuries). The accident was caused by the 19-year-old driver of the BMW (1 year of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
